Singer KZ Tandingan has been introduced by Disney Philippines to be the voice of their first-ever Filipino-language song, March 2, Tuesday.
Tandingan will perform the song entitled “Gabay,” for the latest animation feature, the Southeast Asia-themed “Raya and the Last Dragon.” It is set to be released on March 5, Friday, the same day release of the movie in the United States.
Disney Philippines noted that the upcoming film is “inspired by various Southeast Asian cultures,” it will be also “found it fitting to launch ‘Gabay’ as a way for us to celebrate the film and connect with our Filipino fans,” said studio marketing head Allie Benedicto.
“I love that the song reminds us that sometimes we feel we are weak, especially when we are alone, but if we just learn to trust each other, to come together, and to unite, only then are we able to change the world,” Tandingan said.
