The controversial track ‘Amatz‘ by the young rapper Shanti Dope has now entered the a Billboard chart, April 14, Wednesday.
On their Twitter account, Billboard charts informed the public that ‘Amatz’ reached the number 10 spot of the World Digital Song Sales chart. This was later shared by the rapper’s manager, Thea Gomez Pollisco, on Facebook.
This international milestone was reached two weeks after the song was featured in Marvel’s ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ in Disney Plus.
Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales is a weekly chart that ranks the best-selling digital songs around the world.
Shanti Dope’s song became controversial in 2019 when the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) proposed to ban the song for allegedly promoting drug use.
