Jukebox King Victor Wood dies of COVID-19 complications

OPM icon and known as the Jukebox King Victor Wood has died due to complications made by COVID-19, April 23, Friday.
His common-law wife Nerissa has confirmed the singer’s death about 9:00 in the morning at New Era Hospital in Quezon City. He was 74.
The family narrated that Wood was rushed to the hospital yesterday, April 22, due to asthma. He was later diagnosed with pneumonia and tested negative of COVID-19 through an initial rapid test. He was later transferred to the hospital’s intensive care unit (ICU), then tested positive for COVID-19 with low oxygen level.
Wood became popular with his famous ballads such as “Mr. Lonely,” “I’m Sorry My Love,” “Eternally,” “Crying Time,” and “Carmelita.”
