That one person your heart will always love to hold

  There will always be that one significant person your heart will always love to hold. You have built your walls so high, but you let this person break into it in no time. You let this person in, and your life has changed forever. That person will have a special place in your heart. And even if you try to convince yourself that he is not what you want, at some point, you will always look for the comfort that he brings you. And you will surprisingly realize that this person has touched your heart in a way no one else did.

  There were battles between your head and your heart, but you always make your heart win. Because no matter how hard you try to get rid of those feelings, they will always haunt you. More so, it will always feel like it just happened yesterday no matter how long it has been. It will always make your heart hurt, but at the end of the day, it will always be him.

  It will always be how he makes you feel safe and comfortable. You do not have to say things because you click just like that. It will always be how significant you felt when he was looking at you because those eyes looked far beyond you and saw just exactly what others don’t see in you. It will always be how loving him feels so right, even if sometimes you feel otherwise.

  Beautiful, isn’t it? But sometimes, it is the beautiful ones that hurt so bad.

  It will hurt so bad because you will always look for a piece of him in every person you meet. Your walls will be so much higher than before. And admit it or not, you only want that one person to break into it and start with you all over again. You’ll set a standard so high that it becomes out of anybody’s reach. Because the truth is, there is only one person who will go beyond and defy all the standards that you have set. Because again, at the end of the day, it will always be him.

  And though it has always been him, at some point, you have to let go. Because sometimes, no matter how wonderful something is, letting go is the only choice that you have so you can start loving again. Free yourself from the old feeling you’ve always been keeping, not because it is wrong, but because you deserve more.

  You deserve someone who doesn’t only bring comfort but also gives assurance. You are worth someone who will not only let you hold his hand but will hold your hand even tighter. Always remember that you deserve a love you never saw coming and will never see leaving.

  You deserve someone who will tell you that it has always been you, too.
