The province of La Union has announced their re-opening on May 20 to welcome tourists from Luzon and to revive their local economy in the province.
In an Executive Order No. 27 issued by the Governor Francisco Emmanuel Ortega III, La Union province is once again open for leisure travels. The EO 27 has replaced the EO 7 which temporarily suspended tourism activities for non-residents of the province.

Some conditions are mentioned in the EO.
First, travelers and non-residents are obliged to present a negative result of real time-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test which was taken within 72 hours before arrival to borders.
Next, in order to ensure that minimum health standards are strictly observed in tourist locations, only 700 tourists are allowed to enter the province per day.
Then, tourists should be booked into accommodation establishments with issued certificate of authority to operate from the Department of Tourism (DOT). Visitors should book their tours through accredited travel and tours.
Lastly, only those aged 15 to 65 are allowed to enter the provincial borders.

With the recent pronouncements of the Inter-agency Task Force (IATF) and DOT allowing leisure activities outside the National Capital Region Plus (NCR+) and other Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) areas, please be mindful of the requirements and adherence to the basic health protocols.
You might want to consider the data as well, as of June 1, the province of La Union has 502 active cases, 44 of which are newly reported. There was only one death reported and 54 recoveries.
Stay safe and sound!
