Coachella has announced its return next year after being postponed twice because of the COVID-19 pandemic, June 2, Wednesday.
The festival shows will take place over two weekends next year, on April 15-17 and April 22-24, 2022. The advance sale of access started last Friday, June 4, on Coachella website.
Festival organizers are optimistic about the decline in COVID-19 cases worldwide, but Coachella festival-goers are expected to wear a mask, be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, or have a negative swab test beforehand. Health condition of those who will attend will be closely monitored afterwards.
For those who are not yet at ease with the idea of concerts and large crowds, the festival shall offer ad-free offline content through YouTube Premium. Back in 2019, the festival performances were already streamed on its YouTube channel.
As of this writing, the line up of artists to perform next year is not yet revealed.
