  Queen Elizabeth II celebrates her 95th birthday this 2021. This year also marks another milestone as the United Kingdom and the Philippines commemorate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations.

  British Ambassador to the Philippines, Daniel Pruce, leads the celebration of The Queen's Birthday via a special program on ANC. Amb. Pruce will also highlight the deepening friendship between the UK and the Philippines, as the two countries continue to work together to ensure a safe, stable and prosperous future ahead.

  Lea Salonga has performed at the 95th birthday virtual celebration of Queen Elizabeth II, June 10, Thursday.

  Salonga sang the Philippine National Anthem and her version of ‘Annie.’ Before her performance, she greeted the Filipino frontliners in the United Kingdom and said, “Allow me to say, maraming maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat. I don’t think there are any words to properly express out thanks for your hardwork, your dedication, your single-minded commitment to helping people and the healing that you have been so instrumental in.”

  This virtual celebration, organized by the British Embassy here in the country, was also done in celebration of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the United Kingdom and the Philippines. Princes Charles, the Prince of Wales, has delivered his message as well.

  Queen Elizabeth II has two birthdays. One is the day of her birth, April 21, and her birthday as head of state, the second Saturday of June.
