Ogie Alcasid releases new song for fathers

• Singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid has released a new track ahead of Father’s day, June 18, Friday.

  Alcasid dropped his ode to all fathers entitled ‘Thank You, Pa.’ The song entails gratefulness to fathers who believe in their children’s capabilities and encourage them to pursue their dreams. It also speaks about those longing for their fathers who passed away because of certain events in their lives.

  “This is a song that I wrote for my dad just in time for Father’s Day,” said Alcasid who also revealed that he wrote the song for his father, Herminio Alcasid Sr., who died in September 2020. Alcasid was also seen crying on his music video where slideshow of memories with his father rolled.

  ‘Thank You, Pa’ was co-produced with ABS-CBN Music creative director Jonathan Manalo. It is now available on various music streaming platforms.
