Gigi de Lana trends after ‘Bakit Nga Ba Mahal Kita?’ cover

• YouTuber and former Tawag ng Tanghalan contestant Gigi de Lana has trended after her cover of Roselle Nava’s ‘Bakit Nga Ba Mahal Kita,’ June 21, Monday.

  Premiered on Sunday, June 20, de Lana’s cover video with the GG Vibes band has trended on Twitter because of the performance where she effortlessly belted the OPM classic song.

  But it turned out that it was not just a cover video when her bandmates decided to tease her by bringing the notes up a notch each time. Commenters on YouTube also noticed de Lana belting high notes while sitting down.

  As of this writing, De Lana’s official cover video that can be found on her YouTube channel with 1.14 million subscribers, is still on number 3 on trends and has 2,593,455 views.
