British superstar Dua Lipa was sued by a photography company for posting a photo on her Instagram account in 2019, July 9, Friday.
Integral Images has filed charges against the singer for “knowingly” posting the shot “without permission or authorization.” The company seeks a jury trial and a fine of $150,000 or PhP 7.5 million. Aside from these, the accuser asks for an order to prevent the singer from further acts of infringement and legal costs.
The said photo was of Dua Lipa in an airport queue in February 2019. The singer posted the photo in February 7 of the same year. “I’ll be living under big fluffy hats until further notice,” she wrote as caption.
Court documents claimed that Dua Lipa has profited from the photo citing that her Instagram account is monetized. The photo has been deleted.
