Lil Nas X releases debut album, reveals his two great inspirations

• American rapper-songwriter Lil Nas X has released his most-awaited debut album entitled ‘Montero,’ September 17, Friday.

  This newest album has 15 songs where Lil Nas X has taken the genre-fusing approach with his smash hit entitled ‘Old Town Road.’ It has special guest appearances such as Elton John, Jack Harlow, Megan Thee Stallion, and his two great inspirations, Doja Cat and Miley Cyrus.

  In an interview with the People Magazine, Lil Nas X has revealed how the two pop stars have influenced his music and career. “Miley is just the sweetest person ever and I feel like she’s one of those people that don’t even realize how impactful and how much of a legend they already are and nd what they have done and what they’re doing right now, even to this day. And I really admire her and her ability to constantly change herself,” the rapper said.

  Describing Doja Cat, Lil Nas X said, “She is one of my biggest inspirations right now… And just her music, she’s diverse, her videos, and her personality is really colourful and pop. She’s funny. She’s a fun person. She takes things seriously but doesn’t take things seriously. You know what I mean? She takes what she does seriously,” he explained.

  “Creating this album has been therapy for me. I’ve learned to let go of trying to control people’s perception of who I am, what I can do, and where I will be. I’ve realized the only opinion of me that really matters is my own,” the rapper said about the album.
