The conservatorship issue between Britney Spears and her father has been put to and end after 13 years, September 29, Wednesday.
During a court hearing, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny has decided to suspend Jamie Spears from the role of controller of the pop star’s business affairs. “The current situation is not tenable. It reflects a toxic environment which requires the suspension of Jamie Spears effective today,” she said in a decision.
Jamie Spears will be temporarily replaced by an accountant, Penny declared. The judge had not made any decision yet on whether to terminate the entire conservatorship which also dictates control on Britney’s personal life.
Recently, Jamie Spears has asked the same court to end the conservatorship and expressed his willingness to step down from the role.
