English singer-songwriter Elton John has dropped his newest album entitled ‘The Lockdown Sessions,’ October 22, Friday.
The music legend has remotely collaborated with more than 20 artists in the past 18 months amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Collaboration album includes Brandi Carlile, Charlie Puth, Dua Lipa, Eddie Vedder, Glen Campbell, Gorillaz, Lil Nas X, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Rina Sawayana, Stevie Nicks, Stevie Wonder, Years & Years, Young Thug, among others.
“If you’re my age and still learning from other musicians, that’s the greatest gift of all. If you shut your mind off and say you can’t learn anything more… that’s the dead end,” said John.
John admitted several struggles he encountered such as recording through Zoom call, and postponement of several dates due to pandemic restrictions.
“I’m more excited about music now than I’ve ever been,” John concluded.
