Tina Turner sells music rights to German media company

The soul and rock star Tina Turner has sold the rights to her music catalogue to a music company, October 5, Tuesday.
Turner’s music rights was sold to BMG, which is owned by a German media company, Bertelsmann AG. In a statement, the company said that it would be a partner in all of Tina Turner’s music interests.
Though BMG did not disclose the price it paid, the blockbuster deal includes the star’s share of recordings, the music publishing writer’s share, and the neighboring rights and name.
Tina Turner, since her launch in 1980s, has 10 solo studio albums, two live albums, two soundtracks, and five compilations. Those were sold more than 100 million records.
