Olivia Rodrigo debuts at American Music Awards with seven nominations

Pop star and newcomer Olivia Rodrigo has led the nominations for the 2021 American Music Awards, October 31, Sunday.
The 18-year-old songstress is a first-time nominee garnering the most number of nominations in seven categories. Rodrigo will compete for the top prize, Artist of the Year, against fan favorites Taylor Swift, BTS, and Drake.
The Filipino-American singer was nominated as Best New Artist and Favorite Pop Song for her debut single entitled, ‘Drivers License’ which is up as well for Favorite Trending Song award, Music Video of the Year and Pop Song of the Year awards.
Rodrigo’s debut album entitled, ‘Sour,’ is nominated for Favorite Pop/ Rock Album award competing against Ariana Grande, Dua Lipa, Taylor Swift, and The Kid Laroi.
The American Music Awards 2021 will take place on November 21, to be broadcast live on ABC.
