English singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran has released his brand new album entitled ‘=,’ or ‘Equals,’ October 29, Friday.
Sheeran is currently on strict quarantine after testing positive for COVID-19 last week. His present condition did not hinder his album release. Asian fans were treated by Sheeran by hosting a grand virtual fan meet last October 30 at 7:00pm Philippine Time, streamed live from the Warner Music Philippines Facebook page.
‘Overpass Graffiti’ is the third official single to be taken from the singer’s newest album. It is said to be a heady, synth-rich ode to ’80s pop, and provides us with a wistful portrait of lost love as Ed soundtracks a past relationship. It is written and produced by Sheeran himself, together with Johnny McDaid and Fred Gibson, the trio behind ‘Bad Habits.’
The official video explored the romanticism of living in the moment where Sheeran was stranded in the desert in his dressing gown, before he embarks on an adventure with a newfound set of friends who he meets after hitching a ride. It was directed by Jason Koenig.
