Pop star Lady Gaga has celebrated the release of Britney Spears from her 13-year conservatorship, November 14, Sunday.
Gaga called Spears as an inspiration to those treated badly by the music industry. “She is wildly talented, she is incredibly inspirational and I am just so happy that we get to celebrate today, that she gets to embark on a new phase of her life,” Gaga said of Spears.
The pop star believes that Spears was not treated well by the music industry after her breakdown and later brought to the rehabilitation center. “Spears authored her freedom. She worked hard for this moment and I hope she feels that.” Gaga added.
Lady Gaga has mentioned in previous engagements that she also struggled with mental health issues after the sexual assault she experienced from a music producer when she was 19.
