Taylor Swift’s ‘All Too Well’ dethrones ‘American Pie’ as longest top hit

• ‘All Too Well’ track of pop star Taylor Swift has dethroned Don McLean’s ‘American Pie’ as the longest top hit, November 24, Wednesday.

  Swift has unseated the eight-minute, 42-second epic about the day music died with the 10-minute, 13-second version of ‘All Too Well’ from the ‘Red Taylor’s Version’ album. According to Billboard. it has ascended to the number one spot on the top songs last week.

  “You guys sent a 10-minute song to number one for the first time in history,” Swift wrote on Instagram. The pop star dropped two versions of the song, the 10-minute version and another at around five minutes.

  ‘American Pie’ held the rank of the longest number one hit song since it entered the charts in January 1972.
