Carry-on must-haves when planning an out-of-town vacation during the pandemic
There are a lot of things to consider when planning an out-of-town vacation especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Before, all you had to worry about were your clothes, baggage, and places to go. But right now, there are additional things that you need to prepare for a safe trip. So, we will give some carry-on must-haves for worry-free travel.
Alcohol/Hand Sanitizer
You must have at least a bottle of alcohol or sanitizer in your pocket or bag at all times. This will help you sanitize your hand or anything that you pick up. It is a proven fact that washing your hands with alcohol or sanitizer will prevent you from getting viruses including COVID-19.
Aside from that, most of the facilities require you to sanitize first before entering their premises. So, better prepare yourself just in case they don’t have readily available alcohol in their entrances.
Facemask
While other countries no longer require this, wearing a facemask while outside is still the best thing to do when traveling. It’ll help stop the transmission of the virus just in case you’re an asymptomatic carrier.
Using a medical-grade mask is the safest way to go since it’ll help block all the harmful toxins in the air while simultaneously protecting others from the virus.
Vaccination Card
Of course, you need to be fully-vaccinated if you want to travel either in the Philippines or abroad and you need proof for that, so don’t forget to bring your vaccination card whenever you’re traveling.
Majority of restaurants, resorts, and travel destinations need a vaccination card before allowing you to enjoy their amenities. So, don’t hesitate to inquire at your LGU about COVID-19 vaccination.
Detailed Travel Itinerary
When planning for a vacation, you need to consider the place where you’re going. Research the active COVID-19 cases as well as the nearest hospitals and quarantine facilities if in case you feel some symptoms.
You also need to carefully plan your travel, try to schedule activities when there’s not much people around. After all, physical distancing should still be your priority even if you’re enjoying your vacation.
Extra Money
You’ll never know what’s gonna happen when you’re traveling. Worst comes to worst, you will have to stay longer if you’re quarantined or if the place is in a lockdown. That’s why you need to prepare extra money so you’ll have something in case of emergency.
While we are facing a global pandemic, it doesn’t mean that you still can’t satisfy your inner wanderlust. Just keep in mind that you’re not only responsible for your own health and safety but also for the people around you.
So, go ahead, enjoy your trip and take good care, Sweetie! Also read: Big 7 Travels hails El Nido, Cebu among best islands in the World 2021
