Armi Millare has left the jazz/rock band UDD to focus on her solo career. The remaining members, Carlos Tañada, Ean Mayor and Paul Yap, announced Armi’s departure on the band’s Facebook page last Sunday, December 26.
Millare, who has been the band’s frontwoman and keyboardist, has been with the band for more than 2 decades now. Popularizing songs like “Tadhana,” “Indak,” and “Oo.”
“Although we’re sad to see her leave the band, we wish her all the best as she embarks on her solo career. And we hope you can all support her future projects as well.” the post read.
In a different post, Millare thanked her former bandmates and urged fans to see her departure as a “more of a beginning for us four individuals.”
“UDD has remained my longest relationship, one that I’ve tried to keep sacred and tried to preserve with the principles I have upheld from the moment I learned that I had a dream: that one day I would be in that one band I would dedicate my life to,” she said.
This year, UDD performed “Paagi,” the ending song for “Trese” on Netflix.
