Rolling Stone names Bruce Springsteen as top-earning musician for 2021

The American singer-songwriter Bruce Springsteen was named by the Rolling Stone magazine as the top-earning musician for 2021, January 18, Tuesday.
Despite the cancelled concerts and festival two years in a row, Springsteen still managed to pull through the effects of the pandemic. He has estimated revenues of $590 million.
Springsteen is said to owe the top spot to the sale of his music rights to Sony for half a billion dollars. The income was also came from the record transaction for a catalog of recorded music and compositions, podcast ‘Renegades: Born in the USA’ and the book of the same name that he released with former president Barack Obama.
Next to the list are Jay-Z and Paul Simon with estimated earnings of $470 million and $260 million respectively.
