Baby Shark marks 10 billion YouTube views, first video to reach milestone

The musical earworm ‘Baby Shark’ has reached 10 billion views on video content and streaming platform YouTube, January 14, Friday.
The kid’s tune and one of the most popular children’s song has become the first video on YouTube to cross 10 billion views. Just hours after the 10 billionth mark, the video racked up an additional 8.7 million views.
YouTube confirmed the record through Twitter saying, “ten billion views doo doo doo doo doo doo.” Creators Pinkfong & Baby Shark also tweeted to mark the milestone.

Baby Shark video was published on June 18, 2016 and became a huge hit among younger crowds. In 2019, the song entered the Billboard Hot 100’s Top 40. In 2020, it was declared as the most viewed video on YouTube.
As of the writing, the music video has 10,101,456,108 views.
