ICYMI: BTS singer Jimin undergoes surgery, tests positive for COVID-19

Korean pop group BTS member Jimin has undergone surgery for acute appendicitis, and has tested positive for COVID-19, January 31, Monday.
Agency Big Hit Music has confirmed that Park Ji-min has been admitted to the hospital after suffering a sudden abdominal pain and a sore throat.
“The surgery was successful and Jimin is currently recuperating after his procedure. The singer was due to receive several days of in-patient treatment for COVID-19 along with postoperative care.” Big Hit said in a statement.
Jimin has been the fourth member of the super group to test positive for COVID-19. In December 2021, rappers RM and Suga, and vocalist Jin tested positive as well after a seriesof live shows in the United States.
