Ben&Ben collaborates with Google for Safer Internet Day

The nine-piece act Ben&Ben has teamed up with Google Philippines and dropped a new track entitled, ‘Mag-Ingat,’ February 7, Monday.
‘Mag-Ingat’ is an advocacy song for internet safety in line the current new normal setup. It is released to mark the Safer Internet Day to campaign for the responsible use of the digital space.
The lyrics of the song adressed online threats such as scams, misinformation, catfishing, and the importance of critical thinking and verifying information using credible sources in order to protect oneself and others as well. “Nasa ating mga palad ang kakayahang suriin mabuti ang nababasa. Nasa ating mga puso ang masigurado na tayo ay nag-iingat,” a part of the lyrics said.
“The advocacy of internet safety is so close to our hearts. Now, everyone thrives online, in the space of the internet, especially 2020 onwards. Most, if not all, of our activities are done in a space that is online,” Miguel Benjamin Guico said.
Google Philippine country director Bernadette Nacario thanked the group and Sony Music for agreeing to do the project. National Privacy commissioner Atty. John Henry Du Naga was also present at the launch.
