Phil Collins bid farewell as he perform his final concert with band Genesis

• Music icon Phil Collins and band Genesis have performed their final concert ever last Saturday at London’s O2 arena according to CNN.

  Collins, joined by his original bandmates, keyboardist Tony Banks and guitarist Mike Rutherford made the announcement onstage. “It’s the last stop of our tour, and it’s the last show for Genesis. After tonight we all have to get real jobs,” the singer said.

  His actress daughter Lily Collins paid tribute to her father on Instagram. “Tonite marks the end of an era. To have witnessed this last show was truly the memory of a lifetime and an event I shall hold in my heart forever. Endlessly grateful doesn’t begin to do it justice.

  Phil who became the lead vocalist of Genesis in 1975 performed sitting down throughout the concert due to different health issues the singer is dealing with.
