Rihanna reflects on A$AP Rocky’s struggle from friendship stage

  The Barbadian singer Rihanna has revealed how she and his partner, rapper A$AP Rocky has journeyed from friendship stage into becoming lovers, April 13, Wednesday.

  In an interview with Vogue, Rihanna described their romance as slow-going at first. “People don’t get out of the friend zone very easily with me. And I certainly took a while to get over how much I know him and how much he knows me, because we also know how much trouble we can land each other in,” she said.

  She recounted that their relationship got more serious during the COVID-19 lockdown. “He became my family in that time. There’s no pretentious my-brand-your-brand bullsh*t, it’s just us living. I just feel like I can do any part of life by his side,” the singer recalled.

  “Transparency with everything: how we’re feeling, what our goals are, what our fears and insecurities are. The vulnerability to be able to say what you feel about each other,” she added.

  Rihanna revealed in February that she is expecting her first child with A$AP Rocky.
