Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler enters rehab, cancels upcoming shows

Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has voluntarily checked himself into rehab and has cancelled the band’s upcoming shows in Vegas according to AP News.
Tyler, 74, who had been sober for more than a decade, has relapsed after taking pain medication for his foot surgery. In a statement, the band has thanked their fans for understanding the situation and showing support for Tyler.
“As many of you know, our beloved brother Steven has worked on his sobriety for many years.” “After foot surgery to prepare for the stage and the necessity of pain management during the process, he has recently relapsed and voluntarily entered a treatment program to concentrate on his health and recovery,” the band posted on social media.
Due to this, the band’s June and July shows in Las Vegas has already been and cancelled and will resume again on September 2022.
Steven Tyler has been open about lifelong struggles with substance abuse disorder, which had caused tension with his bandmates.
