Justin Timberlake sold his music to London-based firm Hipgnosis Song Management.
This includes all of the songs he wrote and co-written in his 20 years in the music industry.
From NSYNC to going solo, JT has produced a lot of hits that will be under the company’s rights to use, henceforth. Speculation says the entire music catalogue was sold for about a hundred million dollars.
This deal covers all the songs Justin Timberlake produced, meaning songs from when he was a member of NSYNC is not included in this deal.
From the New Mickey Mouse, to NSYNC, and now worth 250 million dollars, the “Sexy Back” singer is just 41 years old. At this age, it may not be his “peak” but arguably still his prime.
Some of the young stars who sold rights to their music were Shakira and The Chainsmokers. Ownership of their music catalogue are limited to songs when they closed the deal. They can still perform with their hits on live shows and other performances. And, they have full rights and ownership to any future song that they will produce.
