Lady Gaga in early talks to play Harley Quinn in new Joker sequel

After confirming the sequel of Todd Philipps’ ‘Joker,’ they are now eyeing pop singer Lady Gaga to portray Joker’s love interest, Harley Quinn according to Indiewire.
Lady Gaga and the producers of ‘Joker’ are still on early talks and have not yet confirmed anything as of the moment. Rumors also swirl that the sequel will be a musical, hence, the casting of the ‘Shallow’ singer. Philipps was also one of the producer of the film ‘A Star Is Born’ where Gaga won an Oscars award.
If the singer will take the role, she will be paired with Joaquin Phoenix who will be reprising his role as Arthur Fleck or The Joker.
Harley Quinn, whose real name is Harleen Quinzel was a psychiatrist at the Arkham Asylum before falling in love with the Joker and transforming herself as the Joker’s partner in crime.
