Real-life exes Ben&Ben Paolo Benjamin & Bea Lorenzo reunite in “The Ones We Once Loved” music video

  Former lovers Paolo Benjamin Guico of Ben&Ben and Bea Lorenzo starred in the music video of the nine-piece collective’s latest single “The Ones We Once Loved.” They portrayed themselves as a couple re-telling their relationship journey and eventually – their break-up. In place of the canceled send-off concert last Saturday (September 3), the band premiered the said music video directed by Niq Ablao.

  Their portrayal exactly summed up the song as their romance is the subject matter and essence of the said song; the music video tackles acknowledgment of mistakes, healing, and forgiveness post-break-up. More so, it also showed a real story-based, yet, metaphorical picture of how their relationship went.

  Ben&Ben stated, “We recognize that it is quite rare to attain the kind of closure that Pao and Bea have, and much more so create a piece of art that gives respect and honor to the relationship that has passed.” The band also added, “Everyone in the team really gave it their best to amplify that message to all who watch the MV: that closure, even if it is a painful process, is cathartic.”
