American singer-songwriter Pink Sweat$’ Pink Moon tour stop in Manila has been canceled due to “unforeseen circumstances.”
The announcement was made by concert promoter Live Nation on September 24, three days before the slated show on September 27.
“Live Nation Philippines deeply apologizes to all the fans who have long looked forward to Pink Sweat$’s first concert in the Philippines,” said the statement. There was no detailed explanation for the cancellation.
They also stated that tickets purchased online will be automatically refunded, whereas fans who purchased through other ticketing outlets must bring their physical tickets to the TicketNet box office for refunding between October 3 and October 31.
The Manila concert was first announced in August. As of writing, Pink Sweat$ has yet to comment on the cancellation.
Meanwhile, Pink Sweat$’ other Asian dates are expected to go ahead as planned. Between September 27 and October 2, the R&B breakout will perform at Singapore’s Capitol Theatre, Bangkok’s Muangthai Ratchadalai Theatre, and Tokyo’s The Garden Hall. The shows are in support of his sophomore full-length album, “Pink Moon,” which was released in January and features collaborations with rappers 6LACK and Blxst, as well as singers Tori Kelly and Sabrina Claudio.
