Arthur Miguel’s debut album ‘Pasahili’ talks of love and loss

    PASAHILI” – in short, “para sa hindi pinili” draws on the Filipino hugot culture. More so, the eight-track album is for everyone who experienced and is experiencing loss in any way.

    One of the notable songs in the album is “Leron.” After the success of his releases “Ang Wakas,” followed by “Dito, Sa Ilalim ng Buwan” – he dropped the heartfelt track in collaboration with long-time friend Trisha Macapagal. The song is a re-imagination of the Filipino children’s song “Leron Leron Sinta.

    With three music videos for the album currently available, he also released official live performance videos for two more songs from the album. The performance videos were in collaboration with renowned director Dean Colin Marcial, best known for “The Green Guerillas.” More so, the Filipino-born critically-acclaimed director is also a co-founder of CALAVERA USA. The latter is a Brooklyn-based production company awarded by festivals such as Sundance Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival, SXSW Film and TV Festival, and more.

    Beginning his career in the music industry on YouTube with covers, Arthur Miguel gradually caught the attention of his fellow musicians. With relatable and unapologetic music which also resonates with his generation’s experiences – he reached 1.7 million monthly listeners on Spotify. He is known for songs such as “Ang Wakas,” “Crazier,” and “Dito, Sa Ilalim ng Buwan” – to name a few. He also recently collaborated with international singer Pink Sweat$ for “I Feel Good.” Miguel is currently signed to Warner Music Philippines.
