After losing a pregnancy more than a year ago, Jessie J is now expecting again!
On Friday, January 6 – the British singer uploaded a sequence of emotional clips of a positive pregnancy test, sonograms, and her joyously showing off her growing baby bump, all while her song “Sunflower” was playing in the background.
View this post on Instagram“I am so happy and terrified to finally share this,” quoted the 34-year-old singer in the caption of the Instagram reel. She added, “Honestly, ya girl just wants to ugly cry in public in a catsuit eating a chocolate-covered pickle with no questions asked.”
The news came out 13 months after she disclosed that she had a tragic miscarriage.
Additionally, Jessie J has opened up about her journey and the challenges she experienced the morning after she made her pregnancy news public. During the first trimester of her pregnancy, Jessie J experienced anxiety, which she has spoken about in detail.

She said, “Thinking about today and the overwhelming amount of love and support I am feeling. I can’t help but think about all the women and men still struggling with loss and infertility.”
The “Price Tag” singer has previously been outspoken about her struggles with infertility. At a concert in 2018, she said that when she was 26 years old, doctors had told her she might never be capable of having children. Furthermore, Jessie J disclosed she had a miscarriage in November 2021, and she talked openly about it in an episode of the podcast Diary of CEO last year. When she went for her third ultrasound, she was informed that the baby had no heartbeat, contrary to what she claimed in the since-deleted Instagram post that she “decided to have a baby on her own.”
More so, she asked her supporters to be patient with her as she goes through this moment.
We’re here for you, Jessie J!
