Olivia Rodrigo hints at new music on ‘Driver’s License’ second anniversary

  Olivia Rodrigo teased Livies with new music during the two-year anniversary of her debut record ‘Driver’s License.’ 

  “Working on so many new songs I’m excited to show you! Thank you for everything 💘,” she wrote in an Instagram Story on Sunday night, January 8. 

   

   

  Her story shows a video clip of herself with Dan Nigro, the producer of her debut album ‘Sour.’ The duo headbanged to an unidentified piano track, showing fans what’s in store for them.

  Word of the much-awaited second album surfaced when the 19-year-old singer-songwriter sent a special video message out via Spotify Wrapped. Addressing her fans in the message, Rodrigo said, “I just wanted to say thank you so much for listening to my music this year. I really, truly couldn’t be more grateful, and I am so excited for next year and all of the new things and new music that 2023 will bring.”

  Sour broke the global Spotify record for the biggest opening week for an album by a female artist. It topped the charts in several countries, including the US Billboard 200. Consequently, it was one of the best-selling albums of 2021.
