Felip lives up to his ‘ROCKSTA’ lifestyle in new single

Felip, more popularly known as Ken of P-pop supergroup SB19, proves he is as stellar on his own as he is part of a band.
The 26-year-old singer-songwriter and dancer owned up to his no-nonsense attitude to his artistry through the single ‘ROCKSTA.’ Released on Thursday, January 19, the track leaned into his hip-hop, pop-rap, and trap roots.
“Whatever you do, whatever you feel, don’t ever lose that mic… Everytime na hawak ko po ’yung mic, I feel like I’m a different person… It symbolizes as my passion,” Felip said during an interview.
On the other hand, his music video features him dressed in all-black ensemble while showing off his powerful dance moves.
The 1-minute, 47-second track comes as his first release after signing with Warner Music Philippines and serves as a teaser for his upcoming debut solo EP ‘COM•PLEX.’Slated to drop on February 3, COM•PLEX encourages listeners to be in tune with themselves, embrace their complexities, and know that they’re one-of-a-kind.
COM•PLEX is Felip’s first EP since his first solo single ‘Palayo’ in September 2021, followed by ‘Bulan’ in May 2022. Moreover, he made his Recording Academy’s “Global Spin” digital series debut two months after, where he performed the latter.
Born Felip Jhon Suson, he made his SB19 debut in October 2018. The group consists of Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin. They wrapped up their first world tour “Where You At” in December of last year.
