The “Halo” artist performed an almost 75-minute show in support of the “Grand Reveal” weekend of the brand-new, grandiose Atlantis The Royal Hotel in Dubai on Saturday Night, January 21 – marking her first major performance in four years.

To celebrate the opening of the said lavish Dubai hotel, the Grammy award-winning performer pulled off a theatrical show. Before Beyoncé’s dancers and more musicians entered the stage in identical attire and standing still with their hands folded in front of the Egyptian-themed backdrop, the platform was originally occupied by violinists wearing voluminous red skirts and metallic gold headpieces.

The singer took the stage with a complete band, several backup dancers, and the 48-member all-female orchestra Firdaus, all of whom were decked out in vibrant red. The Mayyas, the all-female Lebanese precision dance group that took home the top prize on America’s Got Talent last year, also performed and dazzled the crowd. From the sides of the opulent hotel, fireworks burst into the sky. Beyoncé played songs from her previous albums, including “Beautiful Liar,” “I Care,” “Ave Marie,” and “Flaws and All,” but she also sang songs she hadn’t done in a while, such as “Beautiful Liar,” “I Care,” “Ave Maria,” and “Flaws and All” – to name a few.

To enter the event, guests were required to wear formal attire and flaunt distinctive pins. More so, a rigorous no-phones rule was also enforced for all attendees. The event was off-limits to photography and recording, but the after-party, where Swedish House Mafia performed and guests continued to sip on complimentary Moet champagne – it was later allowed. More so, to prevent photos and videos of the exclusive event from spreading, concertgoers were advised to secure their phones in pouches.

FAMILY FIRST! Her husband Jay-Z, parents Tina Knowles-Lawson and Mathew Knowles, and her three children were among the guests at the invite-only event. Additionally, among the celebrities present were Nia Long, Liam Payne, Kendall Jenner, Rebel Wilson, twins Chloe and Halle Bailey (Chloe x Halle), Ellen Pompeo, Winston Duke, Letitia Wright, Bar Refaeli, and EDM collective Swedish House Mafia – who played at the hotel following Beyoncé.

The American singer-songwriter last gave a live performance in December 2018. Two weeks from now, she is set to perform once again at the 2023 Grammy Awards, where she is up for nine accolades and has a chance to break the record for most nominations ever for a Grammy winner.
