K-pop girl group MOMOLAND officially announces disbandment

Members of the South Korean girl group MOMOLAND are splitting up after six years of being together.
In fact, the six-piece band consisting of Nancy, Ahin, Jane, Jooe, Hyebin, and Nayun shared the same letter announcing their disbandment on Tuesday, February 14.
View this post on Instagram“After a long, deep discussion, the six of us members have decided to support each other to have a great new beginning going forward. Even though we have decided to take our own paths towards our dreams, Us MOMOLAND will always be a team,” it read.
The letter also included their apologies and thanks to their fanbase and asked for their continued support as they pursue their individual careers.
“Our Merries have been everything to us and will always be,” they added.
Furthermore, MOMOLAND parted ways just weeks after the group’s agency, MLD Entertainment, revealed that its members had agreed not to renew their contracts.
They debuted as a seven-member group in November 2016 on the reality talent show ‘Finding MOMOLAND.’ Meanwile, the group expanded to nine members in 2017 with the addition of Daisy and Taeha. However, Taeha and Yeonwoo left the group in 2019f, followed by Daisy in 2020.
MOMOLAND became known for their hit songs ‘BBoom BBoom,’ ‘Baam,’ and ‘Pinky Love.’
