On Wednesday, Filipino-American singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo announced her highly anticipated return to the music scene, revealing that she will be releasing a new single titled “Vampire.”
In a surprise Instagram post, Rodrigo posted a captivating black-and-white photo showcasing her side profile, with two purple band-aids crossing her neck, teasing the theme of her new release.

Fans had been speculating about Rodrigo’s return, as covers of her previous hit track “drivers license” mysteriously displayed the expiry date of June 30, 2023.

This release marks Olivia Rodrigo’s first official offering since her Grammy-winning debut album, “Sour,” which was released in 2021.
With “SOUR,” Rodrigo tackled themes of heartbreak and her personal experiences, showcasing her songwriting prowess. Collaborating with Daniel Nigro under the record label Geffen, Rodrigo achieved tremendous success with the album – securing her three Grammy Awards, including the prestigious Best New Artist category.
Her breakout hits such as “drivers license,” “good 4 u,” and “deja vu” resonated deeply with listeners, leading to her receiving the Best Pop Solo Performance Grammy for the first song mentioned, while “SOUR” itself was recognized as the Best Pop Vocal Album.
The upcoming single “Vampire” is set to drop on June 30.
