The lyrics of “Attention” delve into a desire for attention rather than love, exuding a sense of self-assuredness. In a later part of the track, she addresses those who try to undermine her by comparing her to Nicki Minaj, declaring, “Why she think she Nicki M? She think she hot sh*t.”

The accompanying music video, directed by Tanu Muino and filmed in Los Angeles, adds an eerie twist to the concept of fame. It depicts Doja Cat navigating the streets of LA, occasionally avoiding fans and passers-by wearing unsettling fleshy masks. Throughout the video, she maintains unbothered by the individuals around her – even in moments that appear confrontational. (#UnbotheredQueen)

Prior to “Attention,” Doja Cat’s last solo single was “Vegas” in 2022, featured on the soundtrack of Baz Luhrmann’s film “Elvis.”
Excitingly, Doja Cat is diligently working on her next full-length album, although she hasn’t announced its title or release date yet. This project follows the success of her breakthrough LP, “Planet Her,” which reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200 albums chart dated July 10, 2021. The said LP garnered several hits such as “Need to Know,” “Woman,” “Ain’t Sh*t,” and “Get Into It (Yuh).”
