Madonna hospitalized for ‘serious bacterial infection,’ postpones ‘Celebration Tour’

Madonna’s ‘Celebration Tour’ was put on hold as the singer developed a severe infection requiring hospitalization, according to her management.
On a instagram post from long-time manager Guy Oseary “On Saturday June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which led to a several day stay in the ICU.”
He further added that the Queen of Pop is recovering, however she is still in need of care. A full recovery is also expected.
The worldwide tour is set to have a 43 city run that will start in Vancouver on July 15. The Celebration Tour is set to showcase a comprehensive trip to a 40 year old era-defining career for the 64 year old singer.
There’s still no updated tour dates as of writing.
