New Year is just around the corner and new year means new life or new beginning.
It’s the time to set a new resolution for the upcoming year. Instead of making resolutions about your attitudes which you can just change over the year, why don’t you make a ‘special’ travel resolution for the year 2016?
Your 2016 travel resolution will help you not to fall again with the same travel mistakes you’ve committed this year.
Here are some things that can keep your travel resolution in piece:
Picking where to go – The hardest decision of a traveler. Sometimes you get to achieve your ‘travel paradise’ and if you’re a little unfortunate, wrong choice of destination may kill your travel dreams in a snap.
If you’re looking for a good place to travel, learn to ask. It’s free and besides there’s nothing wrong with asking. Survey from your friends or maybe you can just ask Google.

Picking when to go – You’re able to decide where to go and the next detour is ‘when.’ This is where most people choke because of the schedule conflicts. Others also tend to pick dates impulsively and the next thing they know, their travel is ruined.
There are ways on how you’ll resolve the ‘when to go’ drama. First is, travel during the shoulder season. Not only you’re able to save money, you’ll also avoid the massive crowd during the peak season. Second is the most basic, set your departure at least three months.

Calling off from work – Your travel dream is finally within your reach and there’s one more thing you need to do, inform your boss. If you fail to let your boss know that you’ll be out for a couple of days, you’re boss may kick you out for good.
If you really want to call off from work and travel somewhere, don’t just go AWOL. Learn to file your leave early and make sure that all of your job are properly done so that your boss will not guilt the hell out of you.

Packing your travel baggage – Your all set and the last thing you need to do is prepare the things you’ll be bringing. Here’s where the dilemma comes in. You tend to overpack, bringing things that you may not need or bring too much clothes. Overpacking is really a pain in the butt.
This coming year, resolve not to be a victim of overpacking. Carefully think of all the essentials that you’ll be needing. Use packing cubes, limit your toiletries, bring versatile clothing and avoid last minute packing at all cost!
