  • One thing that Filipinos practice during Holy Week is Visita Iglesia which is a Lenten tradition for Catholics to visit various churches.

Here are some churches that are located in Las Piñas and Muntinlupa that you might include in your Visita Iglesia itinerary this Holy Week:

    Mary Immaculate Parish (Nature’s Church)

As the name implies, the church has that garden-feel experience and its atmosphere is perfect for solemnity.

Everything in from this church was produced by nature.

It is located at Apollo III, Moonwalk Village, Las Piñas City.

St. Joseph Parish (Bamboo Organ Church)

The home of world-famous ‘bamboo organ’, the only musical instrument of its kind.

Aside from the organ that was made of bamboo, the church was originally made of bamboo but it was renovated into a stone church in 1816.

The church has already been recognized as national historical treasure by NHCP. It is also a popular tourist destination for Filipinos and even foreign visitors.

It is located at P. Diego Cera Avenue, Poblacion, Las Piñas City

Parish of the Five Wounds of Our Lord Jesus Christ

This majestic church is built by the Stigmatines when they were invited by Cardinal Sin.

It is located at 364 Real Street, Talon I, 1747 Las Piñas City.

The church is easily accessible because it is just located along the main road of Alabang-Zapote.

    St. Peregrine Laziosi Parish

The church is built by the Servite friars in the mid 1980’s.

Aside from its unique structure, it is often visited by people who are sick because St. Peregrine is the patron saint of the sick and cancer patients.

St. Peregrine Laziosi Parish is located at National Road, Tunasan, Muntinlupa City.
