  1. You were right when you said I deserve someone better – she saw how your heart was broken by your first love and believe it or not, the pain was double for her. She just didn’t mention it because it might be awkward for you. But you heard her say “one day you’ll meet the person your heart truly deserves” and that’s the signal she knew your heart was broken.

  2. You were right when you said “bata ka pa.” ­– you know what she meant. Too young to have adult problems, too young to fall so hard, too young to think of the future. And you only realize that she was right when you were adulting. Hope you listened to her and cherished every moment with her while you’re young. Because even if you want to stay with her now, you know you can’t because you have a life to live.

  3. You were right when you said “matulog ka ng maaga.” – you hope that on those moments you hurriedly climbed to bed and sleep. Because if you just know that you’ll have more sleepless nights when you grow up, surely, you’ll look forward on those bed times with your mama.

  If you just know that one day you’ll sleep the pain away, maybe you have slept more with mom and asked her about life and love lessons.

  4. You were right when you said “magtipid ka”. – you felt poor when she said this. As if she’s limiting you to get whatever you want. But when you grew up, you knew that it was not because you were poor. But because she wants you to handle your finances properly. She wants you to know your priorities.

  5. Thank you for your hugs when things went wrong even if I don’t tell you – her hugs are home. If you can just stay there forever so that you won’t feel that you’re hurt. If you can just stay there when things are getting wrong at work. If you can just stay there when life is messing and acting like a brat. If you can just stay there forever, you know that you will.

  6. Thank you for being there even if I don’t go home, even if I don’t need it. – she’s the only one who really stayed. With her, #mayforever. Even if you ran away when you were trying to comprehend your life, she stayed. Despite your failures as a child, she remained. She’s the only constant in this iiwan-ka-lang-din-niyan kind of world. Her love for you is unfathomable.

  8. I want to be like you. – she doesn’t want you to be like her because life has been really hard on her. And she doesn’t want you to experience that. But she’s the exact person you want to be when it comes to love, to patience, and to care.
