Love Is…

  Love is a not fairy tale. Love is not the love stories of the beautiful Disney princesses. Love is not the box of chocolates, roses, wine, expensive gifts nor the fancy dates. Love is not the material things nor the movie or television series you’ve watched.

  

  Love is a choice. It’s not something you find because it’s a commitment that you have to make. You choose the person you want to love, you choose to stay in love and you choose to love. Most relationships fail just because they chose to let it happen. They let their relationship go down the hill and didn’t do anything to work it out. Love is a state of mind. Everything you wish to happen will be if you’ll work for it with your right choices.

  

  Love knows no boundaries. There are no reasons, borderlines nor distance. Because love has the intention of working things out and brings people together forever. It’s not sugarcoating it, because love has no limits, no end and it doesn’t fade. It can outlast anything. After all, it’s that one thing that still stands when everything has fallen.

  

  Love means consistency. This is more than anything. It only means that “I like you enough to keep trying.” It’s the good morning and good night messages, the constant support, the meaningful words and the unbroken promises. Being consistent is more than hearing the words “I love you” because those three words can be blurted out on a spur of a moment. Consistency is being aware of everything that has been said and done and it’s not going to change overnight. Consistency means I care about keeping you in my life for good.

  

  Love means understanding. No matter how huge or tiny the situation is, one must know how to understand because this keeps the relationship in place. Love is knowing how to apologize, to admit your mistakes and to forgive. It may be difficult but it’s always a must. Love is when you know how to say “sorry” even if it’s crushing your ego and “I love you” even if you don’t feel like saying it.

  Love is when you’re ready to give up but you won’t. Because you do not give up on the people you love. When you feel like everything is falling apart, it is just that you need to love them even more. Things may go crazy but at the end of the day, love will still prevail.

  At the end of the day, you will still make a choice because love has no borderlines, love is consistent and love means understanding.
