To Them Who Feared To Fall In Love Again

Love has been cruel to you, we know. Your heart has been broken and you weren’t even warned that it will be like this.
So you moved on, you forgave, you lived the life that is meant for you. With that, we are proud of you.
But when your heart skips again because someone’s making it happy; when you feel secured again, protected, and loved; when you have your unusual heart beats; when you randomly smile again; when someone’s checking on you; when someone’s trying to put your heart back to pieces, you hold back. You step backward and remember how these very things broke your heart. And you don’t want to do it again. You don’t want to sulk in the corner again. You don’t want to feel the same paranoia you felt years ago. With every piece of it, you felt like your heart is up to a new pain.
It’s making your heart pump nervousness. It’s replaying every hurting scene in your head. And your “What Ifs” began to pop up like they’re just stored inside your head for a very long time and waiting for this very moment.
Your heart is very fearful that it might not work out again, that you might not be enough again, that you might be too much again. You’re so afraid that you might not be ready for love and that maybe love is not yet ready for you. Baby, you will never know until you get there.
Love and relationships are not made up of flowers, hearts, rainbows, and stars.
Love, along with its beauty, has thorns too. You gotta get pricked a little and bleed a little. Then from there you’ll know if it’s true or not.
Love is made up of risks. You just really have to jump off the cliff just to know if your happily ever after is there. And if it’s not, you just got to climb up the rocks again and find the right cliff for you.
Love closes its eyes on ugly things and stares closely to the beautiful ones. And if you can’t do that, then maybe we’re not really loving. Then maybe it’s not really loving that we’re feeling.

No one wants to gets hurt, believe it or not. No one wants to get stupid for love. But maybe that’s the thing about love, it doesn’t just give you hugs and kisses, it gives you lessons. Lessons that you’ll bring with you forever.
You fear that you’ll just be back on that “strangers” phase again soon. Afraid that you’ll get cheated on again. Afraid that someone will be “the one that got away” again.
But honey, so what? So what if you’ll get cheated on again? So what if you’ll be broken again? So what if you’ll be left just like that? Remember, every heartbreak is one step closer to your one true love.

No, you’re not gonna try everyone. You’ll just follow your heart. Because maybe love is just around the corner, waiting for you–ready to chase forever with you. Little did you know that the next person you’ll brave love with will be the one you’ll brave forever with. That the next one you’ll invest love on will be the one you’ll wake up with in the morning. And that maybe the next time you’ll jump off the cliff someone’s jumping with you.
You really won’t know what the other part of the bridge has for you until you get there first.
Believe your heart. For once, let go of your “What Ifs” and remember that if you’ll get hurt again there is no heart ache that chocolates can’t fix.
