5 Things That Hurt LDR Couples Every Single Day

Just when we all thought that long-distance relationships are like normal ones, well at some point, yes but it’s totally different. LDR couples are the strongest because every day that they are away from the person they love, they hurt.
And these are the simplest reasons why they hurt and everything else in between…

1. DISTANCE
No matter how you cling on to the thought that “love knows no distance”, to be away from the person that you love is like a curse. To eat alone; to sleep without a hint what they’re doing on the other side of the world; to not talk to them face to face; or to miss the sound of their breath hurts you every single day.
It’s always hurts them to go home on an empty house. Or walk in the malls with a bag alone and not a hand to hold. Distance sucks. Period.

2. UNSTABLE SIGNALS
Hearing them on the other line is like a gift to LDR couples. They’ve learned to appreciate small things. Like quick choppy phone calls or pixilated video calls. The voice of the person they love is their euphoria. Their actual faces on the screen is a relief. But everything is temporary because they know that after those moments they have to cut the line and wait for the right time to see each other again.
It hurts when the only means of sticking together is almost breaking. It hurts when the only thing you can rely to be updated with each other is not in your favor.
When internet or signal sucks, it really sucks.

3. TIME
It is true that time runs slow when you are waiting. And it hurts every LDR couple every single day. That feeling when you just hope that your favorite person in the world is near; or hoping that as you sit in a cafe, the person you love will be there in a short while.
Time will always be your enemy. And actually, you are always a loser if you won’t swallow the positive pill that one day you’ll be together.

4. TIME ZONES
Even if you’re online every day, even if you have a scheduled time to talk, it’s still different. It hurts when he’s on the other line and about to sleep and she’s taking her coffee. Because you could just be sleeping together or grabbing breakfast with each other. It hurts when you could just do things together but because of the time zone, because of the distance, you end up having separate lives.

5. ASSURANCE
And even if you trust, even if you believe, even if you love deeply, you can’t prohibit the universe from making decisions for our hearts and lives.
Every day, it hurts to think of the “what if’s”. It hurts to think that maybe one of you will let go anytime. It hurts when you know that you’re not there to give the affection that the love of your life needs. It hurts when you won’t be the first person to see him/her after a bad news from the office. It hurts when it’s not you they’ll first hug on birthdays, Christmas, or small milestones.
And you just figure out, that in all these hurting things, distance really sucks.
