R&B singer Alicia Keys and pop superstar Miley Cyrus are set to debut as coaches, joining singers Adam Levine and Blake Shelton on the eleventh season of The Voice 11 according to NBC.
It will be the first time that The Voice will feature two females on the panel. Keys and Cyrus will replace Pharell Williams and Christina Aguilera as coaches for this season.
The two singers are not new to The Voice because they already appeared on the show in the previous seasons: Keys served as an advisor for Team Pharell in Season 7 while Cyrus became the key advisor for the Knockout rehearsals in Season 10.
“Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys make great harmony on The Voice,” said CNN’s Sandra Gonzales.
Charo Espedido, head of Marketing and Programming at FOX Networks Group Philippines, said, “Season 11 of the Voice promises to be a bigger and more exciting series with the addition of Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys who’ve changed the world of entertainment with their distinct styles.”
The Voice Season 11 will premiere on September 20, Tuesday live via satellite at 1 p.m. on StarWorld.
