WATCH: Omaha native Lauren Diaz slays Alicia Keys’ ‘If I Ain’t Got You’

  The Voice contestant Lauren Diaz sang Alicia Keys’ classic hit ‘If I Ain’t Got You’ during the show’s Blind Auditions according to Bustle.

  R&B singer Alicia Keys was the first to turn around and was followed by Miley Cyrus and Blake Shelton.

  Lauren burst into tears when she finished singing, and she only got more emotional when Alicia stepped on stage to give her a hug.

  Lauren revealed that she grew up singing Alicia’s songs on the piano, but she stopped when she had her son, who’s now 4 years old. Alicia mentioned that she has a son of her own and shared why Lauren’s performance impressed her so much. “The way you interpreted that song, that’s the reason why I sing,” she said. “And that’s the reason why I see that you sing, so that you can touch somebody.”

  The Omaha singer ended up going to Team Alicia.
