Solange notches her first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart

  Solange scores her first no. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart, as her latest release, ‘A Seat at the Table’ arrives to claim the spot, beating Bon Iver’s ’22, A Million’ according to Billboard.

  ‘A Seat at the Table’ launches with 72,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending October 6 according to Nielsen Music.

  Solange fourth studio album ‘A Seat at the Table’ was first announced on September 27 and it reached the digital platforms and streaming services three days later.

  The physical CD release of the album is scheduled to release on November 18. It will be released by Saint Records (Solange’s own label) through Columbia Records.

  Solange and her sister Beyonce have now both earned no. 1 albums on the Billboard 200. They are among the few pairs of solo siblings to score no. 1s.
