A confused man is not worth your time

  Dear DJ Chloe,

  I’m MJ (not my real name). Avid listener ako ng show mo way back nu’ng nasa Pinas pa ko. Actually, I named my daughter after you. Nagsend na din ako ng letter sa’yo last 2014. Now I’m just a reader of your posts and sometimes shares your good and kind messages. So here’s my situation. OFW ako and single mother. It’s been two (2) years na din since I finally break free from my ex-partner. I love my single life, no hassle no worries, no commitment, no one’s demanding about my time. Until I met this guy. Kaibigan ko siya nu’ng mga bata pa kami, we just lost communications for years. Now we’ve been chatting for months and talking bout our lives. Same situation of me, hiwalay sa asawa, may anak na tinataguyod at nagwo-work para sa mga anak niya. At some point nagkapalagay kami ng loob. For a months of talking to him I decided to give myself a chance to trust and be loved by someone again. I’m ready to have a long distance relationship with him. Until this week, he barely sends me a message. Sabi niya busy lang sa work. So I just waited for him to message or call me. But it’s been days now na ‘di siya nagpaparamdam, nakaonline siya. Pag nagmessage ako, seen lang ang peg so I stop messaging him. Now, I became a stalker sa Facebook niya. Walang oras na hindi ko tinitingnan mga post niya. I just felt unfair kasi parang pinaasa niya lang ako or ako lang ba ang nag-assume na merong KAMI?? Please help me understand and I’m ready for your advices and violent reaction just for me to come into my senses again. Thanks you and more power.

  Maybe he chickened out? Tama ba? Hahahaha, well, we don’t really know why he suddenly turned chicken about the whole thing. But well, it’s not your loss. At least, this early you learned he’s just paasa. So the best thing you can do is to act like nothing happened, don’t even block him off on your social media accounts, unfollow mo na lang para ‘di mo nakikita ang mga posts and on your part, stop stalking him, instead make yourself so interesting he’d be the one to stalk you. Babalik din ‘yan one of these days and mag-eexplain, make sure you don’t fall for the same sweet shits anymore. Work na lang, dear. Ang work di ka iiwan nyan, and besides, you don’t need someone who will just leave hanging. Focus on yourself and focus on making more for your kid. God bless!
